Week of 06/12

This week was the week of the film festival during school. I brought back great feedback.  I was one to help put the seating and did not believe everything would fill up but it was the complete opposite. Students who had already been to the festival for a period already wanted to go again. For example in my leadership class it was motioned for the whole class to go to the film festival. Sadly it was neighed because we knew there was a seating chart and we would not fit and even then some students sneaked into the last two rows. I believe it was very successful, many students were cheering there friends on being very respectful and quite while the films where playing. i am really looking forward to the afternoon film festival.

Week of 06/05

I can confeddently say that my group and i progressed greatly since last week but. We finished all filming on 1 video , we also finished all editing and we shared our video. unfortunately it was not as great ass we thought. We got advise to change up some scenes/shots. we will be rewriting the script based on the same idea but changing up scenes today. We hope to finish filming during the weekend so we can edit on Monday.This week we also talked to that teacher who we are doing the film for, we gave her an update of our work and thankfully she did not want anything changed , just a couple more interviews that she personally wanted added.

week of 05/29

My group has been working very hard these past weeks, unfortunately the lady we are making this video for is never satisfied and continues to want something new every day, she adds up or changes something every time she views the video.  We have been editing all week , changing clips that the teacher does not like. We plan to shoot specific people that she asked for and plan to be finished next week if she dose not add or change anything. we have also been trying to work on our film , we finished the script and plan to shoot today.

the week of may 8th

This week we got many interviews done ,we were told to do this film very last minute. We did not have much time so we tried to swing by the videos which was not so a good idea because many of them did not come out as we wanted, voices were scratchy, the camera was glitch so we had to re film many. We put what we had in the computer,did some editing and managed to work with what we had.  This week was practically all filming we got about 20 student interviews. next week we hope to show what we have to Ms. Shaw.

WEEK OF APRIL 24

Me and my film group have not finished our film. It is because my group and I are very undeceive. we really want to turn in a video we will all be proud of but since we are significantly behind I believe we just need to work with what we have . This week we filmed a short part with one of our teachers . As we tried to input it this week it failed. Not everything was able to be inputed so we just had to drop that part and improvise with what we already had. We decided to put in words into our music video that would appeal to the viewers emotion. We are going to finish schedule editing for now hope to get the film finished soon.

week of 4/17

This week my group and I finished some editing we contracted another actor. the previous actors schedule conflicted with our schedule since he is not in our period. we had a hard time with filming so we were rescheduling the whole week. My group decided to go with someone new who is more mature and has more time in his hands. We hope to finish filming today. We are scheduled for lunch. it will be a short part so editing will not be as time consuming as it has been the past week. my group and i have managed to put in the music and combine them with the film ,our only worry is adding new footage and having to redo the whole film again so the music matches the music.

WEEK OF APRIL 10

This week was all editing. We thought we had finish filming but every week my group and i come up with different ideas to make our film better. We went over the film did some editing and came to the conclusion that the music just didn't match the film and music is very important in our film because it is a music video. We brainstormed and watched the footage over and over until we were able to come up with a song that was more appropriate for our film. After we input the correct song wed started the editing all over again, this time editing went way easier ,i feel as if the footage just fits it flows alot better. Now that we are finish cutting and all, we hope to finish mid next week.

problems and struggles high school students

High school is a time period where students go through many struggles. One of the struggles high school students face are insecurities. Many students at the age of 14 and on believe they have to meet certain expectations to be accepted. They believe they have to present themselves with a popular image which I believe that's a problem society has created. Students are so busy trying to appeal to society they don't focus on school. Society puts many standards, in order to be considered pretty you have to be skinny with nice hair blue eyes and that's were bullying is also introduced. students are most likely to get bullied because of there physical appearance which is very wrong. High school should be a place where students feel secure and hare here to learn not to try to be accepted by society.

WEEEK OF APRIL 3

This past week my group and I was able to finish filming alt least 80% of the film. We went to city walk and filmed the for most of Sunday. Once in class we inputed the video on to the computer. we did have trouble inputing the video so we ha to be changing computer and cords often. we were able to go over our whole video on wednesday. after our video was inputed we worked on the editing, we cut out parts that were unnecessary. This week we where also able to input the music on to the computer although we are still working the order we want our clips to be in. We also talked about how are video was going so far and came up with ideas we can put in the video to perfect it.

MARCH 27

My awesome film group consist of three girls Sasha, Cindy, and Gabby. During this week we brainstormed a lot. We came up with ideas for all our films. We will be doing a music video for our first video. During this week we listens to many songs , to try to find the perfect match with all of our personalities because we are all unique. We decided on the song Outside ; we will be going out to city walk this Sunday. This week we planned out dates and times when we can all meet. this week we also came up with our second film which will be an interview. We brainstormed ideas and put them down on paper, kinda like took notes on everything so we can look back at them while doing the story board. Yesterday we started the storyboard to our first film. We got to draw scenes we would like to include. that was all we did for the week, we look forward to Sunday when we will start filming.

what does music mean to me

Music has a great impact into my life. Music helps when Im depressed, when I need a smile on my face when Im feeling angry . Music can alter to any mood Im in. People enjoy music they can relate to , music they feel a special connection to. One of my favorite music artist is Eminem, I love Eminem because I feel like I know him, I know his life story through his music. In order for me to like a song I have to like the lyrics and every single lyric in his songs are very meaningful. They have such a deep meaning to them that only people who can relate to the lyrics see it . I see the person he is through his lyrics hes not just any type of rap guy to me. 

most interesting person i know

The most interesting person I know is a friends step sister. I had a friend who I was very close to and knew him for a very long time , I later came to know he had a step sister I was very curious to know who she was so I managed to be friends with the girl. The energy from her was so different and that is why I found her so interesting. She had lived a very difficult life which was very distinct from mine. She would tell me personal stories of how her mother was unable to take care of her because of her drug addiction and how she moved in with cousins who where very like her mother. I found this girl so interesting because we are the same age and  had already lived through so much , she had experienced things so young that it would take me at least a life time to experience.  I found her interesting because despite of her horrible past she had so much ambition to go back to school  and be successful.

what is my drug

I grew up on the race track my father has always been into NASCAR and offroading so I would say my drug is driving. Iv been driving since I was 14 got my first car at 15 and always drove dirtbikes and quads as a child so my way out is driving. I like to get on the freeway and just drive with no destination. Driving to me is very soothing its something that is like part of me. When ever Im feeling troubled I also like to go down to the racetrack at Irwindale and just watch practice runs or just straight aways. Music is also i big part of me so driving is just perfect you have time to be alone with loud music and just drift away for some time.

THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH

This  had a great impact on how i thinnk of the world and thed things we do. The point I found most interesting was when Al Gore talked about the weather changes. He brought up a chart the was very drastic and I thought at first he was over exaggerating about how the weather has changed throughout the years and how its changing so quickly. I didn't quit believe his chart at first until he showed pictures of mountains and glazers that had little to no snow left. Many beautiful mountains that were covered in snow are not close to what they were before. He also brought up a point about 40% of people relying on water supplies thorough the mountains. I found that very interesting because these changes are happening very quickly and 40% is a big number of our population.
